Residential fuelwood use in Arkansas

Results are given of a telephone survey in spring 1984 to determine the extent and nature of residential use of fuelwood in the Coastal Plain, Delta, Quachite and Ozark regions and in the Little Rock/North Little Rock Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area. It was estimated that 26.4% of households in the state burned wood, each household using 2.9 cords during the 1984-85 heating season. Most (65.1%) of the wood was cut by the user. 1 reference.
