Relativistic orbital angular momentum and spin observables. [Center-of-mass system]

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev., D; (United States)
We exploit the manifestly Lorentz-covariant natures of momentum and of Pauli--Lubanski spin to give prescriptions for the construction of translationally invariant relativistic c.m. observables. We show that commutators of relativistic c.m. spins coincide with those of the corresponding nonrelativistic observables, and prove that all rotationally invariant functions of c.m. spins and c.m. momenta are Poincare invariant.
