Conference · · Am. J. Agric. Econ.; (United States)
OSTI ID:7247961
The author reviews and discusses current economic estimates of the costs and benefits for the agricultural sector of air pollution control. After evaluating recent benefit assessments dealing with individual receptor categories for specific air pollutants and acid rain, he focuses on problems in the use of pollutant, site, and time-specific welfare measures to develop aggregate indicators of control efficiency. The analysis covers the effect of pollutants on forests and forest ecosystems, materials, and visibility. 26 references, 1 table.
