Weak decay of. lambda. hypernuclei

The isospin structure of the ..lambda..N ..-->.. NN non-mesonic weak interaction is discussed as one aspect of hypernuclear weak decay. Measurements of the hypernuclear lifetime and neutron stimulated fraction for /sub ..lambda..//sup 12/C and /sub ..lambda..//sup 11/B are reported. Preliminary results for /sub ..lambda..//sup 4,5/He are presented. 15 refs., 6 figs., 3 tabs.
