Electrons scattered by 3{sup 2}{ital P}{sub 3/2}, M{sub L}={plus minus}1 sodium has been measured in the collision energy range up to 5 eV and in the angular range 0{degree} to 30{degree}. Absolute differential cross sections are reported for deexcitation to 3{sup 2}{ital S}{sub 1/2} and excitation to 4{sup 2}{ital S}{sub 1/2}, obtained without normalization. The 3{ital P}{r arrow}4{ital S} cross sections are over a factor of 2 times larger than those for the corresponding 3{ital S}{r arrow}3{ital P} reaction, for the same final electron energy. Comparison with available theory is presented.
