Multiquark hadrons. I. Phenomenology of Q/sup 2/Q-bar/sup 2/ mesons

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev., D; (United States)
The spectra and dominant decay couplings of Q/sup 2/Q-bar/sup 2/ mesons are presented as calculated in the quark-bag model. Certain known 0/sup +/ mesons (epsilon (700),S*,delta,kappa) are assigned to the lightest cryptoexotic Q/sup 2/Q-bar/sup 2/ nonet. The usual quark-model 0/sup +/ nonet (QQ-bar L = 1) must lie higher in mass. All other Q/sup 2/Q-bar/sup 2/ mesons are predicted to be broad, heavy, and usually inelastic in formation processes. Other Q/sup 2/Q-bar/sup 2/ states which may be experimentally prominent are discussed. (AIP)
