Synergistic fuel compositions
This patent describes a fuel composition. It comprises: a major portion of hydrocarbons boiling in the gasoline range from about 0.001% by weight to about 1.0% by weight of a hydrocarbyl-substituted amine or polyamine having an average molecular weight of about 750 to about 10,000 and also having at least one basic nitrogen atom, and a hydrocarbyl-terminated poly(oxyalkylene) monool having an average molecular weight from about 500 to 5000 oxyalkylene group of the hydrocarbyl-terminated poly(oxyalkylene) monool is C{sub 2} to C{sub 5} oxyalkylene group and the hydrocarbyl group of the hydrocarbyl-terminated poly(oxyalkylene) monool is a C{sub 7}-C(sub 30) alkylphenyl group. Wherein the weight percent of hydrocarbyl-terminated poly(oxyalkylene) monool in the fuel composition ranges from about 0.01 to 100 times the amount of hydrocarbyl-substituted amine or polyamine.
