During the World Petroleum Congress in Houston, Texas, April 1987, two plenary session keynote speakers echoed one another's words. The speakers were the leaders of Exxon and Petroleos de Venezuela. Now, during the American Petroleum Institute meeting in Chicago, Illinois, this month, two more such leaders provided much in the way of a mutual message. Those speakers were the leaders of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Petroleum, and Chevron. There is probably no greater need today than for producers and consumers to listen up. This issue contains several graphs and tables to illustrate US and international oil supply indicators over time: also the text of the address by Hisham M. Nazer, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the Nov., 1987. Chicago conference. This issue also contains the following: (1) the ED refining netback data of the US Gulf and West Coasts, Rotterdam and Singapore, early Nov., 1987; and (2) the ED fuel price/tax series for countries of the Western Hemisphere, Nov. 1987 Edition. 6 figures, 7 tables.
