Cementing of geothermal wells. Progress report No. 2, July--September 1976

A coordinated program for the development of improved cements specifically designed for geothermal well applications was started in April 1976. Since that time an assessment of the state-of-the-art of well cementing has been made, a preliminary management plan prepared, and research on polymer cementing materials started. To date, two water wells have been cemented with polymer cement (PC). Work accomplished during the period July 1-September 30, 1976, is described.
