AWD technologies integrated AquaDetox (trade name)/SVE technology: Applications analysis report

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:7222385

In support of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Superfund Innovative Technology Evaluation (SITE) Program, the report evaluates the AWD Technologies, Inc., integrated AquaDetox/SVE treatment system for simultaneous on-site treatment of contaminated groundwater and soil-gas. The AWD technology uses an AquaDetox moderate vacuum steam stripping system to treat contaminated groundwater and a soil vapor extraction (SVE) system that uses granular activated carbon (GAC) beds to treat soil-gas. The two systems are looped together to form a closed system with no emissions. The report evaluates both the treatment efficiency and economic data based on results from the SITE demonstrated and describes several case studies.
