This paper describes a simple system of automatic frequency control for the resonator absorbing cell of a decimeter-band spectrometer that obviates the need for auxiliary modulation. The device was developed for adjustment of the resonator absorbing cell of a double microwave spectrometer to the slow scanning frequency of the signal source. The system minimizes the amplitude of the signal reflected from the resonator. For resonator Q ca 5.10/sup 3/, a frequency of 300 MGz, and a scanning frequency of ca 0.5 kHz/min, the variation of the resonant frequency with tracking is not over 0.5 kHz.
