This method is a single-stage procedure for the determination of total moisture in coal. It is recognized that, under the conditions of test, certain coals will give results that reflect varying levels of oxidation; therefore its use should be limited to prior agreement between the parties involved. The method shall not be construed as the standard method for total moisture.
