Radiological survey of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Bremerton, Washington, and environs
As a result of the survey of the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, it was concluded that the procedures utilized by the Navy to control the release of radioactive material into the Bremerton Harbor from PSNS are apparently effective. Levels measured are close to the detection limit for the most sensitive analytical equipment. This indicates that nuclear operations at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard are not contributing a significant radiation exposure to the public.
