The 6600 CHIPPEWA compiler is described; this chapter of ''Livermore Time Sharing System'' supersedes most of volume I of the manual entitled ''The CHIPPEWA Compiler''. The CHIPPEWA FORTRAN compiler operates as an independent program under control of the 6600 time sharing system. This compiler accepts FORTRAN II, FORTRAN IV, the CHIPPEWA assembly language (CLASS), and a subset of ASCENTF. (RWR)
