Correlation equation for calculating the dissociation constants of 1-1 electrolytes in higher alcohols over a wide temperature range

This paper attempts to obtain, on the basis of experimentally determined dissociation constants for lithium, sodium, and potassium iodides in alcohols from amyl to nonyl at temperatures of the range 278-458 K, a simple empirical equation for calculating the dissociation of constants, with an error not exceeding 10% on the concentration of monomeric molecules in higher alcohols; this is done on the basis of known linear dependence of the difference in the logarithms of the dissociation constants found experimentally and calculated by methods due to Sukhotin, Fuoss, Bjerrum, and Ebeling.
