Filtration of gases in an elastically deformable porous medium at the stage of dynamic expansion of a cavity
The motion of gas and liquid through permeable deformable media is accompanied by leakage of the detonation products out of the cavity formed by the underground explosion and change in the stress state in the strata in the production of oil and gas. In this work, by the method of mathematical modeling the authors study the mutual effect of elastic deformations of a porous medium and filtration of gas. The one-dimensional motion of gas and of the porous medium are described by the system of equations of continuity and motion. The numerical study of gas filtration through a deformable porous medium showed that at the first stage gas propagates in the porous medium with a velocity higher than the sound velocity in the solid phase. Gas leakage occurs at the stage of dynamic expansion of the cavity, depending on the properties of the medium, its porosity and its permeability.
