Measurement of 24. 3 keV activation cross sections with the iron filter technique

Conference · · Natl. Bur. Stand. (U.S.), Spec. Publ.; (United States)
OSTI ID:7194765
Using high-resolution detection techniques, intensities of specific activation lines from /sup 197/Au(n,..gamma..)/sup 238/U(n,..gamma..), /sup 127/I(n,..gamma..), and /sup 115/In(n,..gamma..) (54 min + 2.2 sec) were recorded, using the BNL HFBR iron-filtered neutron beam. From a comparison with the reaction /sup 10/B(n,..cap alpha gamma..), cross sections at 24.3 keV were determined. 4 figures (auth)
