Objects common to the catalog of galactic planetary nebulae and the general catalog of variable stars

Journal Article · · Publ. Astron. Soc. Pac.; (United States)
DOI:https://doi.org/10.1086/129923· OSTI ID:7192941
The Perek--Kohoutek planetary-nebula catalog was searched for coincidences with the Kukarkin et al. variable-star catalogue. Twenty-six objects appear in both catalogues, but only one, the eclipsing binary UU Sge, appears to be a genuine new variable planetary-nebula central star. The majority of the coincidences are with late-type variable stars erroneously listed as planetary nebulae.
