The results of a study of the spin density matrix of the rho/sup 0/ meson in a quark jet produced in deep inelastic ..nu..(nu-bar)N scattering, obtained by means of the Fermilab 15-ft bubble chamber, are presented. As a result of analysis of the rho/sup 0/-meson spin alignment in the helicity coordinate system it was found that rho/sup 0/ mesons in a quark jet are produced predominantly longitudinally polarized (with zero helicity). The rho/sup 0/-meson spin density matrix element rho/sub 00/ in this coordinate system was found to be 0.63 +- 0.15. From study of the P-odd rho/sup 0/-meson spin density matrix elements Im (rho/sub 10/+rho/sub -//sub 10/) and Im rho/sub 1//sub -//sub 1/ indications of the polarization of the fragmented quark have been obtained for the first time.
