This patent describes the process for dewaxing a hydrocarbon feedstock to reduce its pour point. It comprises: contacting the hydrocarbon feedstock at effective dewaxing conditions with a dewaxing catalyst comprising an effective amount of at lest one non-zeolitic molecular sieve selected from the group consisting of SAPO, ELAPSO, MeAPO, FeAPO, TiAPO, and ELAPO molecular sieves, and characterized in its calcined form by an adsorption of isobutane of at least 2 percent by weight at a pressure of 500 torr and a temperature of 20{degrees}C.
