This paper reports a high precision measurement of the isotope shift for the 2{sup 3}S-2{sup 3}P transition between {sup 3}He and {sup 4}He by a laser-microwave spectroscopy technique. This experiment gives the most precise measurement of the isotope shift for a multielectron atom. The measured isotope shift agrees satisfactorily with the theoretical value.
