The unidentified emission features at 3.28 and 3.4 ..mu.. are reported in two galactic H ii regions: the Orion Nebula and M17. Observations of NGC 7027 with spectral resolution of lambda/Xlambdaapprox. =300 show that the feature at 3.28 ..mu.. is not a single spectral line. The feature consists of a continuum or several closely spaced lines. It is pointed out that a marginally plausible identification of the features may be the fundamental bands of CH/sup +/. (AIP)
