This report summarizes findings of a fire protection review conducted during January 22--26 and March 5--9, 1990, at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant, Portsmouth, Ohio. The visit included a tour of the facility, water and fire pump tests, a review of records of testing and inspection of fire protection equipment, and an unannounced fire drill to assess fire department preparedness. All recommendations are contained in Sections 2 and 3. Recommendations involving loss potentials of $1 million or more are repeated in Appendix B.
