Intracavity second-harmonic generation in a Nd pentaphosphate laser

We have achieved cw second-harmonic generation using an intracavity Ba/sub 2/NaNb/sub 5/O/sub 15/ doubler crystal in a low-power NdP/sub 5/O/sub 14/ laser pumped by a dye laser. Our results show the feasibility of obtaining visible (0.525 ..mu..m) second-harmonic radiation from similar lasers pumped by near-infrared semiconductor sources. (AIP)
