To determine the corrosiveness of liquid petroleum gases, a copper strip is immersed in the sample and exposed to a temperature of 100/sup 0/F for 1 h in a cylinder of suitable working pressure. At the end of this period, the copper strip is removed, and the corrosion is rated as one of the four classifications of the ASTM Copper Corrosion Standards. (BLM)
