This report examines the kinetics of reductive transformation of halogenated hydrocarbons in anoxic sediment samples collected from a variety of sources. The compounds were selected based on variation of chemical structure to provide insight on the mechanism of reduction. The sediments were selected for their physical characteristics and known reactivity.
