Application of pollution prevention to reduce indoor air emissions from office equipment and from composite wood materials. Report for October 1993-February 1994
The paper discusses the application of pollution prevention to reduce indoor air emissions from office equipment and from composite wood materials. (NOTE: The literature indicates that emissions of organics, ozone, and particulates result from office equipment and/or composite wood products. Because most of these materials and/or equipment are utilized in indoor environments, their emissions have an impact on indoor air quality.) Research is currently being conducted by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Research Triangle Institute (RTI) to identify sources of indoor air emissions and to identify, demonstrate, and evaluate pollution prevention approaches (i.e., developing low-emitting and/or low-impact materials) for reducing emissions from these products.
