An analysis of {ital CP}-violating effects in {ital e}{sup +}{ital e}{sup {minus}}{r arrow}{tau}{sup +}{tau}{sup {minus}} is outlined. Some tensor observables sensitive to {ital CP}-odd couplings arising from possible electric or weak dipole moments {ital d}{sub {tau}},{tilde {ital d}}{sub {tau}} of the {tau} are presented. For the case where both {tau}'s decay via {tau}{r arrow}{pi}{nu}{sub {tau}} we estimate the accuracies with which {tilde {ital d}}{sub {tau}} and {ital d}{sub {tau}} can be measured at the {ital Z} resonance and at a {tau}-charm or {ital B} factory, respectively.
