Landfills, wastewater treatment lagoons, and livestock waste management are operations representing sources of methane. The report begins with a brief overview of how CH4 is generated from the anaerobic decomposition of waste and then discusses generation of CH4 in detail in landfills, wastewater treatment lagoons, and livestock waste management.
