The SP{sub 6}{times}SU{sub 2} symmetry of the fermion dynamical symmetry model (FDSM) was studied. Analytic expressions are given for the wave functions and matrix elements of the pair creation operators {ital S}{sup {dagger}}, {ital D}{sup {dagger}}, and {ital E}2 transition operator for the heritage {ital u}=0, 1, 2 cases. Various Pauli effects which differentiate the FDSM SU{sub 3} from IBM SU{sub 3}, as well as the relationship between the wave functions and matrix elements in the FDSM, the interacting boson model, the Sp (6,{ital R}) models, and the Elliott model are discussed. Extensive discussions of the physical implications of the model are presented.
