Several cyclodextrin/NaCl mixtures were investigated as solid matrices for obtaining room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) and room-temperature fluorescence (RTF). The optimum experimental conditions for obtaining both RTF and RTP for the four tetrols were explored. Also, luminescence spectra, limits of detection, and linear ranges for calibration curves were acquired. This is the first report of the solid-matrix luminescence analytical figures of merit for the tetrols on cyclodextrin solid matrices.
