Conference · · J. Pet. Technol.; (United States)
OSTI ID:7158311
This paper reviews the performance of six contiguous Muddy Sand sandstone reservoirs in the Bell Creek field before and during waterflood. An edge-drive waterflood has been in progress for 5 years. Geology, rock and fluid properties, performance, and some operational highlights are discussed. Initial investigations of the potential for micellar-polymer flooding are also discussed. Bell Creek field had 243 million STB of original oil in place. Ultimate recovery is calculated as 98 million STB, primary and secondary.
