CFCl{sub 2} and CF{sub 2}Cl radicals were observed between 365 and 410 nm by resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization spectroscopy. Both spectra were generated by two-photon resonances with planar 3p Rydberg states. A third laser photon ionized the radicals. The CF{sub 2}Cl spectrum displayed a vibrational progression assigned to the out-of-plane bending {nu}{sub 4}{prime} (b{sub 1}) OPLA mode ({omega}{sub 4}{prime} = 745 cm{sup {minus}1}), with the origin at 406.2 nm ({nu}{sub 0-0} = 49.230 cm{sup {minus}1}). Assignments for the CFCl{sub 2} radical included the {nu}{sub 4}{prime} (b{sub 1}) OPLA ({omega}{sub 4}{prime} = 590 (20) cm{sup {minus}1}) and the {nu}{sub 3}{prime} (a{sub 1}) CCl{sub 2} scissors ({omega}{sub 3}{prime} = 270 (3) cm{sup {minus}1}) modes, with the origin at 401.1 nm ({nu}{sub 0-0} = 49,850 cm{sup {minus}1}).
