The planned introduction of genetically engineered organisms: Ecological considerations and recommendations
This report was prepared for the Public Affairs Committee of the Ecological Society of America and represents the contributions of many members. Although the group supports the use of biotechnology for the development of environmentally sound products, they state that these developments should occur within the context of a scientifically based regulatory policy that encourages innovation without comprising sound environmental management.
