This paper describes a design guide for robotic materials handling systems. This is a joint effort between Sandia National Laboratory (SNL) and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The topics covered include DOE site cleanup activities at SNL, internal technology development activities, computer vision support for robots performing assembly tasks, navigating, monitoring task execution and part alignment.
