The YBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 2-n}Fe{sub n}O{sub x} samples (n=0.015--0.07; x=6.02--6.83) were synthesized by the ceramic technique with a quenching and subsequent oxidation. A comparison of the Moessbauer spectra obtained by us with those reported in the literature shows that doublet 1 ({delta}=0.04 mm/s; {Delta}=1.95 mm/s) and doublet 2 ({delta}{minus}0.02 mm/s; {Delta}{minus}1.13 mm/s) should be assigned to {sup 57}Fe which is localized in Cu1 site, with coordination numbers 2 and 4, respectively. According to the published data, the doublet 3 ({delta}=0.35 mm/s; {Delta}=0.58 mm/s) should probably be assigned to the octahedrally coordinated {sup 57}Fe in Cu1 site.
