A radiopharmaceutical kit for complexing a liver-specific agent labeled with technetium-99m comprises (1) a biologically sterile aqueous medium wherein the complex formation occurs, (2) a complexing agent which is a lipophilic mercaptan or thioketal and (3) a pharmaceutically acceptable reducing agent for technetium-99m.
