Intensity ratios related to the shape of an angular correlation function have been obtained in the neighborhood of the (2s2p) /sup 1/P autoionized transition in helium using the (e,2e) fast coincidence technique. Subsequent comparison with the interpolated results of an accurate Born calculation reveals a deviation from theory which becomes more pronounced with increasing momentum transfer, ..delta..P. As ..delta..P..-->..0 both theory and experiment tend, as expected, to the optical limit.
