Observations of the transverse Zeeman effect in the magnetic star Beta Coronae Borealis: Evidence for the oblique rotator model

We present photoelectric measurements of the transverse Zeeman effect in the magnetic star ..beta.. CrB. The electric vector of the observed polarization in the 4520.2 A line of Fe II describes a 360degree rotation per magnetic cycle, as predicted by the oblique rotator model. (AIP)
