Nuclear waste containers clad with strip electrodes

The handling problems associated with the storage and disposal of radioactive wastes are more complicated than with the disposal of conventional power plant wastes, and an important component in dealing with radioactive waste is the transport flask. With fabrication requirements often equaling those placed on reactor vessels, the flasks are constructed to provide safe storage of the contents under the worst possible conditions. This article describes two type of flasks.
