Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:7118927
This bibliography was prepared in order to bring together Federally funded research relating to archaeology. It is divided into two sections. The first deals with the chemical analysis of archaeological specimens primarily using activation analysis. Articles studied include metals, pottery, coins, paintings, soils, glass, and paper from Medieval, Grecian, Egyptian, Mayan, and prehistoric times. The second section cites other archaeological research including results of excavations from all over the United States. Also covered is work on preservation of artifacts and remote sensing for site location. (This updated bibliography contains 135 abstracts, 18 of which are new entries to the previous edition.) (GRA)
