Study of in-medium [ital NN] inelastic cross section from relativistic Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck approach

We have derived the explicit expressions for calculating in-medium [ital NN][r arrow][ital N][Delta] cross sections, which are simultaneously given with the other integrands of the transport model such as the mean field, [ital NN] elastic cross section, as well as the transport equation itself based on the effective Lagrangian. Our results can reproduce the experimental data of free [sigma][sub [ital p][ital p][r arrow][ital p][ital p][pi]][sup 0]+[ital pn][pi][sup +] nicely. The in-medium inelastic cross section [sigma][sub [ital N][ital N][r arrow][ital N][Delta]][sup *] is calculated up to twice the nuclear matter density and is in agreement with the Dirac-Brueckner calculation.
