This review of literature from October 1974 through September 1976 provides about 250 references. For solid fuels, specific topics surveyed include sampling, proximate and ultimate analyses, calorific value, petrography, coking processes, coke testing, inorganic constituents and standard methods. For gaseous fuels, topics surveyed include sampling and chemical, physical, and instrumental analyses. Chemical Abstracts and Fuel Abstracts were used extensively as reference sources. (DDA)
