The properties, production processes, uses, and emission sources for hexachlorobenzene are explained in this report. The environmental effects, health hazards, and current control technologies are discussed. The problems of the longevity of the hexachlorobenzene molecule and past hexachlorobenzene contamination are discussed and areas requiring further study are pointed out.
