Nuclear resonance fluorescence in /sup 206/ /sup 207/ /sup 208/Pb and /sup 209/ Bi. [6. 6 and 9. 7 MeV]

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev., C; (United States)

Using bremsstrahlung produced with 6.6 and 9.7 MeV beams, nuclear resonance fluorescence measurements were made on targets of /sup 206/ /sup 207/ /sup 208/Pb and /sup 209/Bi. Ground state transition widths for previously unknown energy levels with widths greater than aprox.1 eV were obtained. An interpretation of several of these levels in terms of particle--core weak-coupling model is suggested.
