Diagnosis of Tokamak electron cyclotron radiation by GaAs Schottky diode heterodyne receiver

This paper gives experimental results of diagnosing the second harmonic extraordinary mode electron cyclotron radiation of a CT-6 Tokamak by a GaAs Schottky barrier diode heterodyne receiving system. The minimum detectable power of the GaAs Schottky barrier heterodyne receiving system is less than 10/sup -10/ W when the I.F. bandwidth is 500 MHz, the operating frequency is 64--72 GHz. This system has sufficient sensitivity and spatial and temporal resolution for the diagnosis of the electron cyclotron radiation of a CT-6 Tokamak.
