Polymer treatment boosts production on four floods

Journal Article · · World Oil; (United States)
OSTI ID:7093152
Pilot polymer floods using a polymer 454 solution on four separate reservoirs are expected to produce an average of 6.4 percent OIP over waterflooding. The three sand reservoirs (Bartlesville sand, Spar Mt. sand, Bruhlmeyer) had an average permeability in the range of 4.3 to 1200 md, an average porosity in the range of 15.0 to 20 percent, oil viscosity in the range of 2.5 to 6 cp, and reservoir temperature in the range of 85 to 95/sup 0/F. The Lansing-Kansas City lime reservoir had 90 md permeability, 21 percent porosity, 7.5 cp crude viscosity and 100/sup 0/F reservoir temperature.
