Expenditure and revenue data are shown for water quality control, air quality control, land quality control, land quality control (solid waste management), and other environmental control by the Federal Government, the 50 State governments, the 58 largest county governments, and the 48 largest city governments. Data on local government revenue and expenditure for sewerage activities and sanitation other than sewerage activities are presented by 74 major standard metropolitan statistical areas and component counties.
