Distorted-wave Born-approximation description of the /sup 4/He(p,d)/sup 3/He reaction at E/sub p/ = 770 MeV

The exact finite-range, distorted-wave Born approximation was used to compute /sup 4/He(p,d)/sup 3/He cross sections at E/sub p/ = 770 MeV. The transition form factor was tied to measured electron-/sup 4/He scattering and the calculated cross sections were insensitive to uncertainties in the distorting potentials. The calculated angular distributions do not reproduce the data.
