''Vacuum chamber and related problems on Super-ACO''

The low energy, 800 MeV, V.U.V. ring Super-ACO designed for low emittance and long straight sections for undulators is first described. A short outlook in the technology used, stainless stel and copper absorber elements, aluminium RF cavity and alumina kickers is also given. The pumping system including, triode and integrated diode pumps, titanium sublimators and NEG is presented. Static pressure, desorption rate vs integrated dose, measurements attempting to differentiate between gas and Touschek lifetime are reported as well as a longitudinal impedance value of 2.8 ..cap omega...
